ChatGPT integration
Use AskGIZA in ChatGPT
Connect your AskGIZA account to ChatGPT to ask questions about the documents in your workspace and receive answers backed by source citations. AskGIZA uses your existing workspace and plan.
Connect from ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server.
- Enter AskGIZA and the server URL https://www.askgiza.com/mcp. Select OAuth authentication and create the plugin.
- Install the plugin, link your AskGIZA account, and select it in a ChatGPT Work conversation with @AskGIZA. Try "What does our refund policy say?" and inspect the returned sources.
Connect any other MCP client
The server speaks the streamable-HTTP transport with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE). Point any MCP-compatible client at:
{
"mcpServers": {
"askgiza": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://www.askgiza.com/mcp"
}
}
}Your MCP client must support OAuth sign-in and the streamable HTTP transport to access the workspace tool.
What AskGIZA exposes
- ask_knowledge_base — ask a question, get the grounded answer with its sources attached (and a conversation id you can pass back in for follow-ups).
- Usage counts as you — the connector acts as your signed-in account, so trial and plan limits apply exactly as they do in the workspace.
Authentication
Clients authenticate with OAuth 2.1. Sign in with your AskGIZA account when prompted. Tool calls use your account permissions and plan limits, and results come from your indexed workspace sources.
Next steps
- — create your workspace and load your first documents.
- — help wiring AskGIZA into your stack.
