Chat with documents

Chat with your documents

AskGIZA is an AI tool for chatting with your documents: connect your PDFs, Office files, spreadsheets, images, and recordings, ask a question in plain language, and get a direct answer with a citation to the exact page, row, or minute it came from.

What chatting with documents means

Instead of opening files one by one and skimming for the passage you half-remember, you ask — "what's our refund policy?", "which contract has the liability cap?", "what did the customer say about pricing on the Q3 call?" — and the answer is written for you from the material in your workspace.

It is a different motion from search. Search finds documents you still have to read; chatting with documents returns the answer itself, with the source attached so you can verify it in one click.

How it works

  • Connect your files — upload documents or import them from a shared link. Everything is indexed into one private workspace.
  • Ask in plain language — no operators, filters, or file names required. Follow-up questions keep the thread's context.
  • Check the citation — every answer lists its sources; open the supporting page, row, or timestamp beside the answer before you act on it.

File types you can chat with

  • PDFs — reports, policies, contracts, manuals, and scans.
  • Office documents — Word files and PowerPoint decks.
  • Spreadsheets — Excel workbooks and CSVs; answers can cite the exact row.
  • Images and diagrams — whiteboards, screenshots, and charts are searchable together with everything else.
  • Recordings — audio and video are transcribed, so a spoken statement can be cited to the minute.

Why citations matter

An answer you cannot check is a guess with good grammar. AskGIZA numbers every claim to its source, so hallucinations have nowhere to hide: if the workspace doesn't support a confident answer, the tool says so instead of inventing one. That is what makes document chat safe for contracts, policies, and numbers — the material where being approximately right is being wrong.

Common questions

Can I chat with a PDF?

Yes. AskGIZA indexes PDFs — including scanned ones — so you can ask questions about any part of the file and get the answer with the page number it came from. Multiple PDFs become one searchable workspace rather than separate chats per file.

How is chatting with documents different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT answers from its training data and can only approximate your business. AskGIZA answers only from your uploaded documents, cites the exact location behind every claim, and stays current as your files change.

Is chatting with documents secure?

Your documents live in your workspace and are used only to answer your team's questions — never to train shared models. Access is role-based, workspaces are isolated, and deletion is verifiable.

How many documents can I chat with at once?

The whole workspace at once. A single question can draw on several files and several parts of the same file, and references are grouped so the answer stays readable.
